Alex Lee '30 Under 30'

Alex Lee

Harrow Green Party are very proud to announce that one of our members, Alex Lee has been chosen as one of this years' 30 Under 30, a development programme set up to train the next generation of Green MPs, MEPs and Councillors. He is also standing as the Green Party candidate for Wealdstone in the upcoming Harrow council elections in May, being the only disabled, Chinese candidate to stand in the borough.

Alex Lee says "I am extremely thrilled to have been chosen for this years' 30 Under 30 scheme. Knowing that I will be joining a training course which has seen the likes of Amelia Womack go on to become the Deputy Leader of the Green Party is unbelievably exciting. Having the chance to learn about campaigning, policy-making, media relations, public speaking and so much more with 29 other exceptional young Greens will hopefully enable me to grow the Harrow Green Party presence enormously.

With one of the largest youth wings of any political party in the UK, it's always been important for me to provide some kind of representation. Using the skills I learn on the 30 Under 30 programme, I hope to ready myself and our local party for the upcoming council election and future General Election, so we can win our first Councillor and hopefully the Green Party's second ever MP."
