Reasons to Vote Green in Harrow on May 5th

Green councillors in Harrow will:

  • Protect public services
  • Invest in public transport, cycling and walking
  • Support home insulation and eco-heating systems
  • Improve food, garden waste and recycling schemes
  • Create a joined up parks and green spaces strategy
  • Plant more trees and encourage biodiversity
  • Deal with the climate emergency

Harrow Greens are feeling really positive ahead of the 2022 Local Elections. Residents in Harrow are tired of the two party system and disillusioned by the petty, point scoring, which seems to dominates much of the conversation between the two. We desperately need fresh ideas and a new voice to hold the Council to account and represent the real concerns of Harrow residents. Our Green party candidates are connected to the local areas they live and have first hand experience of the issues that concern residents in the borough the most. Greens work hard all year round, listening and standing up for local people's concerns, from flytipping and waste issues, to inadequate housing and the destruction of the natural environment.

We believe people should vote Green because we need a long-term, connected and cost effective strategy that represents everyone in the borough. Green councillors will hold the Council to account, whilst doing much more to tackle the climate emergency, investing in public tranport, walking and cycling, pushing for proper housing insulation and campaigning to protect Harrow's many parks and green spaces. We will make sure local public and health services such as The Bridge mental health centre are properly funded, whilst creating a coherent waste and recycling strategy that will help minimise fly tipping. Green Councillors will seek practical solutions and work towards creating an inclusive democracy that is sustainable, fair, green and healthy for all.
